Is it weird that most of our reviews don’t even mention loft ladders?

We’ve got thousands of five-star reviews for Access4Lofts, and if you read through them you’ll notice something strange: hardly any of them mention the loft ladder, the boarding or the hatch.

That makes sense once you think about it, since that’s just the job itself, and it’s exactly what people ordered, so it’s what they expect to get.

So what do our reviews actually talk about?

The same handful of things come up again and again. Customers mention that the installer turned up when he said he would, that he charged exactly what he’d quoted and not a penny more, and that he cleaned up after himself and left the place tidy.

Anyone who has ever had builders or tradesmen working in their home will understand why that’s such a big deal. Turning up on time, sticking to the quoted price and not leaving a mess shouldn’t really be newsworthy but, unfortunately, that’s exactly where so many companies fail to deliver.

When a business actually gets it right, suddenly it’s building the kind of reputation which turns a one-off customer into someone who recommends them to a neighbour.

Not all loft franchises are created equal

Good marketing plays its part, and ours works hard to bring the right people to the phone in the first place. Getting someone to make that call, though, is only ever the start of the story. What happens next, from who actually shows up at the door to how the job gets delivered, comes down to the systems behind the business as much as the advert that started the conversation.

Every Access4Lofts installer specialises in loft ladders and boarding, and nothing else. The person who visits your home to quote the job is the same person who comes back to do the work, so there’s a continuity and accountability that customers notice straight away. That comes from how the business is built, and it’s every bit as important as how the business gets found.

But the product still has to be good, right?

Of course, and we wouldn’t put our name to it otherwise. Every installation comes with a lifetime guarantee, we hold Which? Trusted Trader status, which is genuinely difficult to earn and keep, and we carry £2 million of public liability insurance, well beyond what most jobbing tradesmen carry.

However, none of that is usually what earns us a five-star review. Customers write those because the entire experience felt like dealing with a proper, established business rather than taking a gamble on a stranger from an advert.

That’s really the gap Access4Lofts has built a franchise around: professionalism, punctuality and consistently doing exactly what was promised, at the price that was agreed, delivered by a specialist rather than a generalist.

If that sounds like the kind of business you’d want to run, a no-obligation chat costs nothing.
